“Criminal” is performed by American singer Britney Spears and taken from her 7th studio album “Femme Fatale”. It was released on 30 September, 2011 by RCA Records and Jive Records as the fourth single from her album. It was produced by Shellback and Max Martin, and written by Tiffany Amber, Max Martin and Shellback. The official music video was released on 17 October, 2011 and directed by Chris Marrs Pilero.

Rudy Klapper of Sputnikmusic commented that “the song is not same like the style of Janelle Monae, but it would be worst if it’s not interesting and catchy”. Katherine St Asaph commented that “at the least would make much more lyrical feel compared to Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’ which is a lot more weak compared to her past couple of songs, that is likely a fantastic career flow”.

“Criminal” peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs, at number 19 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 33 on the Schweizer Hitparade Chart, at number 18 on the Spanish Airplay Chart, at number 23 on the Croatian Airplay Radio Chart, at number 16 on the Canadian Hot 100, at number 1 on the Brazilian Hot Pop Songs.
