“Deuces” is recorded by American R&B singer Chris Brown and taken from his second mix-tape “Fan of a Fan”. It was released on 25 June, 2010 by Jive Records as the first single from the mix-tape. It was produced by Kevin “K-MAC” McCall, and co-written by Chris Brown, Kevin McCall and Michael Stevenson. The music video was released on 24 May, 2010 and directed by Colin Tilley. The song features additional vocals from American rappers Kevin McCall and Tyge.
Joanne Dorken noted about “Deuces” that “a good way for expressing his smooth vocals”. Hannah Ash from “The Harbor Herald” praised the beats and said “fabulous rap track”. Shahryar Rizvi from “Dallas Observer” wrote that “the song sounds like boring”. Sean Fennessey from “The Washington Post” wrote that “the song is taking Chris Brown to the next phase”. It was nominated at the BET Awards 2011 in the category of “Best Collaboration” and at the 53rd Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration”.
“Deuces” peaked at number 23 on the RIANZ Singles Chart, at number 14 on the UK R&B Chart, at number 68 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart and at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart.
