The song “Thinkin Bout You” is taken from Frank Ocean’s debut album “Channel Orange”. It was released on 17 April, 2012 through Def Jam Recordings. It was produced by Shea Taylor, and written by N. Cobey and Christopher Francis Ocean. The music video was premiered on September 15, 2011.
The song received positive reviews from the critics. For example, Sobhi Youssef of “Sputnikmusic” commented that “emote within the boundaries of a ballad without having to it saccharine or cheesy is almost awesome by one of his contemporaries” , citing the song as the base of all the album.”
The song debuted peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs, at number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, at number 25 on the UK R&B chart and at number 117 on the UK Singles Chart.
