Gotye’s version debuted at number 27 on the ARIA Singles Chart, at number 4 on the RIANZ Singles Chart, at number 47 on the Irish Singles Chart, at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, at number 13 on the Canadian Hot 100 and at number 80 on the French Singles Chart.

Glee’s version of “Somebody That I Used to Know” ranked at number 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, at number 48 on the UK Singles Chart and at number 21 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
