“Tongue Tied” is taken from Grouplove’s debut studio album “Never Trust a Happy Songs”. It was released on 13 September, 2011 by Atlantic Records and Canvasback as the second single from their album. The official music video was premiered on 25 July, 2011. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA).
“Tongue Tied” peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs, at number 3 on the Billboard Rock Songs, at number 23 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 84 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 47 on the IFPI Singles Chart, at number 10 on the Canadian Alternative Rock chart, at number 90 on the Canadian Hot 100 and at number 33 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
