“Supergirl” is recorded by American actress and recording artist Miley Cyrus for her Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana”. It was features on the third soundtrack album “Hannah Montana 3″. It was released on 28 August, 2009 by Walt Disney Records. It was produced by Dreamlab, and written by Daniel James and Kara DioGuardi.
Heather Phares from “Allmusic” commented about “Supergirl” that “the song reveals the happy side of Hannah Montana that seems good for those before them”. Warren Truitt said “at-least the songwriters feels that who they deliver the songs and their audience is”. Mikael Wood from “Entertainment Weekly” commented “the song has the style of Kelly Clarkson”.
“Supergirl” ranked at number 5 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart, at number 42 on the German Singles Chart and at number 58 on the Austrian Singles Chart.
