It was released on 2 July, 1990 by SBK Records. It was produced, and written by David Bowie, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, Brian May, Freddie Mercury and Earthquake.

Vanilla Ice’s version ranked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, at number 28 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 2 on the Swiss Singles Chart, at number 4 on the Swedish Singles Chart, at number 1 on the Dutch Top 40 Chart and at number 3 on the Australian Singles Chart.
