“Why Ya Wanna” is performed by American country music singer Jana Kramer and taken from her debut album “Jana Kramer”. It was released on 16 January, 2012 by Elektra Records as the first single from her album. It was produced by Scott Hendricks, and written by Chris DeStefano, Catt Gravitt and Ashley Gorley. The official music video was released in February 2012 and directed by Kristin Barlowe. After 500,000 digital downloads, it was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Bobby Peacock from “Roughstock” said that “the song is reminding the song from 1992′s”. Billy Dukes from “Taste of Country” said that “features a shocking touching punch , however it’s run-down away by a grating chorus”.
“Why Ya Wanna” peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, at number 3 on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart, at number 50 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 100 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
