The song “Boyfriend” is performed by Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber, taken from his third studio album “Believe”. It was released on 23 March, 2012 by Schoolboy, RBMG and Island Records. It was produced and co-written by Mason Levy and Mike Posner.

The music video was released on 3 May, 2012, and was directed by Director X. After releasing, the video broke the records by Nicki Minaj’s Stupid Hove and Rihanna’s Where Have You Been with 8 million views in a 24 hour. But later One Direction’s Live While We’re Young broke the record with 8.24 million views in a 24 hour. He has also performed the song live on Germany’s Next Top Model and at the Billboard Music Awards 2012.

“Boyfriend” peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs, at number 12 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs, at number 9 on the Billboard Pop Songs, at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 12 on the UK Official Streaming Chart Top 100, at number 88 on the Romanian Top 100, at number 53 on the Japan Hot 100, at number 24 on the Radios Top 40 and at number 1 on the Canadian Hot 100.
