It was released on 6 September, 2012 by Def Jam Recordings and GOOD Music as the album’s fourth single. It was produced by Noah Goldstein, Anthony Kilhoffer, Kanye West and Hit-Boy, and co-written by Kanye West, James Fauntleroy, Shawn Carter, Sean Anderson and Chauncey Hollis. After sales of 1,000,000 copies only in the United States, it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
“Clique” ranked at number 39 on the ARIA Singles Chart, at number 17 on the Canadian Hot 100, at number 36 on the Dutch Tracklisten Chart, at number 32 on the Scottish Singles Chart, at number 4 on the UK R&B Chart, at number 25 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart and at number 2 on the US Billboard Rap Songs Chart.
