It was released on 7 May, 2012 by Capitol Nashville Records as the fourth single from their album. It was produced by Paul Worley, and written by Jason “Slim” Gambill, Jonathan Long, Dennis Edwards, Matt Billingstea, Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott. The official music video was released on 29 June, 2012 and directed by Noble Jones.
“Wanted You More” ranked at number 20 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, at number 34 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 59 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
