“Angel Eyes” is performed by American country group Love and Theft and taken from their self-titled second studio album. It was released on 14 November, 2011 by RCA Nashville Records as the first single from their album. It was produced by Josh Leo, and written by Eric Paslay, Eric Gunderson and Jeff Coplan. The official music video was released in July 2012 and directed by Chris Hicky. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of American (RIAA) after sales of 500,000 copies in the United States.
Bobby Peacock from “Roughstock” said that “‘Angels Eyes’ is interesting and fresh”. Taste of Country’s Billy Dukes said that “I’ve been criticized thousand of times before, but the song is difficult to resist”.
“Angel Eyes” ranked at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, at number 32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 68 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
