Adam Markovitz commented that “The song is an alchemy of vital pop and rock setting up blocks that conjures virile looking in an exact corny-graceful fashion as past Maroon 5 strikes similar to “She Will Be Loved” . Adam’s voice rises , the piano and acoustic guitar strike notes of sour nostalgia , and for as soon as the words’ hurt feels real . Together with both by Pro-Tooled wonder or old style work , the track as well seems extremely like it was taped in a studio by music artists who in fact arrived jointly to play as a group , even when one amongst them was just dropping by on his approach to the sound phase”.

The song debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, at number 17 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs chart, at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart, at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 2 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and at number 1 on the UK Singles chart.
