“Earth Song” is recorded by America pop recording artist Michael Jackson and taken from his ninth studio album “HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I”. It was released on 27 November, 1995 by Epic Records as the fifth single from the album. It was co-produced by Michael Jackson, Bill Botttrell and David Foster and written by Michael Jackson. The music video was released in 1997 and directed by Nick Brandt.
“Earth Song” was certified 2x Platinum after sales of over 1,000,000 copies in Germany, platinum after sales of over 50,000 copies in Switzerland and platinum after sales of over 1,160,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
“Earth Song” ranked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play Chart, at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart, at number 4 on the Swedish Singles Chart, at number 1 on the Spanish Airplay Chart, at number 4 on the RIANZ Singles Chart, at number 1 on the German Media Control AG Chart, at number 2 on the French Singles Chart, at number 1 on the Dutch Singles Chart, at number 15 on the ARIA Singles Chart, at number 1 on the Belgian (Flanders) Singles Chart and at number 1 on the European Hot 100 Singles Chart.
