“Right By My Side” is recorded by American hip hop singer Nicki Minaj and taken from her album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”. It was released on 27 March, 2012 by Universal Republic Records, Young Money Records and Cash Money Records. It was produced by Flip, Oak, JProof and Andrew “Pop” Wansel, and co-written by Nicki Minaj, Ronny Colson, Jameel Roberts, Ester Dean, Warren Felder and Andrew Wansel. The official music video was released on 16 May, 2010 and directed by Benny Boom. The song also features vocals from American R&B singer “Chris Brown“.
Andrew Hampp from “Billboard” commented about “Right By My Side” that “the song sounds familiar like Chris Brown’s ‘No Air’”. Jesal Padania from “Rap Reviews” commented that “I think they used just star power in this song but song’s quality is poor”.
“Right By My Side” ranked at number 21 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, at number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, at number 70 on the UK Singles Chart and at number 122 on the French SNEP Singles Chart.
