The song (Pound the Alarm) is by American singer Nicki Minaj for her second album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”. The song was written  by Nadir Khayat, Rami Yacoub, Achraf Jannusi, Onika Maraj and Bilal Hajjii under the label “Young Money”, “Universal Public” and “Cash Money” Records. The music video was released on 31 July, 2012 that was directed by Benny Boom. She has performed the song live on “Radio 1′s Hacknery Weekend”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Pink Friday Tour”.

After the sales of 500,000 copies, the song was certified Gold by the “RIAA”. The song peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs, at number 18 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 8 on the UK Singles chart, at number 10 on the ARIA chart, at number 14 on the Ultratop 50 chart and at number 8 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart.
